There are now some instructions in the sim.
Forces appear to be correctly proportioned where before this update they were not. 3D orbits have also been achieved, although not all of them are as accurate as i would wish.
Drawing management has been created, so you can make drawings then switch them on/off.
Multiple electrons is possible, but the orbits are unstable.
Now comes with a user interface which allows precise setting of the viewpoint, zoom, time control (step back doesn't work) and creation of new structures and drawings. Particles have random velocities and (almost) random forces, because these 2 areas have not been mastered in 3D yet.
Creating a new atom will remove all current particles.
Adding a sphere is very CPU hungry and may slow the simulation, other available shapes are "cube", "axes", "vertex".
3D perspective has been implememnted, 3D forces and inital positions are innacurate. Fixing these is he next step
//Setting initial variables, constants and arrays
//if α is true, this is the first run of the algoritm. This is used to set inital positions once
α = true;
//sigma (aka. the sum of) is the count of the particles on screen, starts at 0
sigma = 0;
//this is hard to explain. the satge dimensions are variable (maximise/restore mess with these values) so they are recorded initially and the first values are used in calculations
stageHeight = Stage.height;
stageWidth = Stage.width;
//The stage containg the paths of movement. 201 is the depth, a random large value
Some of the quite abstract art I've been doing recently. Made using GIMP.
This is my new GTK theme I've been working on for the past few days. It's a direct mod of my other theme and you may recognise some of the graphics.
A short loop I just made to entertain myself for a while. The new RX is coming along slowly and it's making me feel a bit claustrophobic. So I let myself have a little freedom and just started animating on a blank canvas. Took a couple of tries to gauge my skill and shape my imagination to fit.
I think I created a good interaction between the liquid and the gravity. No colour (yet?)
Click here to view Flash content.
The second version I have in my archives. In the time between I've learnt a lot about flash and the pages are teaming with unnecessary features that react to your mouse movements and make everything lag.
This version comes complete with an organised folder system, duplicates of files that were never used and folders full of junk that I'd downloaded from tutorials in a failed attempt to create a guest book.
The graphics are still bad but not quite as bad as previously, I started using banners and made most of the page in flash.
